Hi Reader, So excited to hear that many of you are interested in joining my upcoming online book club. I love knowing that you're interested in un/learning - and cultivating a community of like-minded teachers. We launch Monday, September 15th with email #1 landing in your inbox.
Note: September 15th also happens to be my 40th birthday that day. This milestone has me feeling lots of things - one of them includes leaning in and taking up a bit more f'ing space. So launching my first online book club seems like a good fit.
We're reading Judith Lasater's Yoga Myths. Together we'll explore common cues or sequencing techniques we're probably all saying and doing - and reflect on whether they actually carry any weight to our practice and teaching. In 12 weeks, you'll walk away with new perspectives and cues for:
...and more. Regardless of your tradition, how you were trained, what style you teach, we're here to learn and unlearn together. There's no one right way here, friends. If you're a yoga teacher needing CEUs, this experience offers 10 CEUs for Yoga Alliance upon completion. I'll follow up before week 1 on how to log your hours. registration details
That's it, y'all! I'm so excited for this. If you have any questions, just hit reply and send them my way. I cannot wait to connect with you. // Kate McKenzie yoga for yoga teachersWe all know that our practice changes as soon as we start teaching. It can be hard to get lost in your practice without constantly thinking of what you might teach next, what you should do, or whether others in the room are looking at you to be the good student. Once a month, I host a class just for yoga teachers. It's a time to get on your mat and re-connect with your practice - in a studio space that you don't teach in surrounded by the energy of other teachers who are also diving into their own practice. These are free. Reserve your spot.
